Alien Creeps TD (Mod APK) is a free-to-play alien-themed tower defense game produced by Outplay Entertainment. Outplay Entertainment is a Dundee, Scotland based game development company that originally released Alien Creeps TD in October 2014. The game challenges players to save the world from hordes of devious aliens who have come to invade and destroy all existing species on earth.

In the game, the player has to strategically set up towers, soldiers, and heroes to defend a gateway from the waves of aliens. These aliens spawn from different points on the map and follow a course towards their goal which is to pass through the gateway and destroy civilization. If an alien reaches the end of a path i.e the gateway, the player loses lives (or in later games, health). Once all lives are all depleted, the game ends. The player can choose Troops, Machine guns, Lasers, and Rockets to defend against the attack. In addition to these structures, the player gets a hero unit, these are powerful units that can be moved independently around the course. Strategic choice and positioning of these defensive structures is an essential strategy of the game.

In terms of visuals, Alien Creeps TD delivers a good-looking experience with popping colors and detailed elements. The alien troops, as well as the towers, are very well-realized with a lot of unique animations, moves, and sound effects. The controls are easy and intuitive but over time it becomes difficult to manage the growing number of defense elements. The game’s difficulty is a bit steep, once reaching level 5 it is much harder to advance if enough resources (Gold coins and gems) are not present to upgrade the towers.

The audience on the game has grown consistently even though the genre is saturated with games like Bloons TD Battles (Mod APK) leaving no new ideas left to implement. The game has been downloaded by over ten million users on Play Store alone. Alien Creeps TD is often criticized for its overemphasis on making players purchase virtual resources. Even then it has garnered a favorable rating of 4.5 reviews from close to eight hundred thousand reviewers.

Gameplay

Alien Creeps TD is a strategic tower defense game where the player’s objective is to destroy and evade alien creeps who are trying to invade the earth. The game opens with an introduction of some characters who are going to help the player in the mission. These compatriots include General Steele advises you of the operations to conduct, and based on his guidance you have to take the charge and place towers and other defensive items. The second important character is Tessa Townsend or ‘Sparks’ who is an engineer and researches how to build better towers and train the heroes based on the incoming enemy group. Then there is Emperor Razo who is the commander of the Creep Army.

There is a varied range of enemies from regular foes to smaller, more agile ones. Some aliens can provide shields for their allies. A player can check a few details of the enemy by clicking on them and then make a strategy to combat them. There are specialized enemy units that can only be dispatched using towers while others can only be destroyed by Hero units. Hero unit is a movable unit that does not require a predefined slot to engage, they can localize and move to the areas where aliens are overpowering towers. The hero units also include some specialists such as Skybolt, a robotic combat unit, Barrage, a cyborg super-soldier, Avalanche, a modern-day incarnation of a Viking and others. These heroes are unlocked at the cost of real money.

To stop Emperor Razo and his creatures you have to place towers along a pre-determined path that the foes will walk along. These towers contain machine guns, lightning weapons, rockets, lasers, and squads of infantry. They decrease the enemy health bars and keep them from reaching the gateway.

As the game progresses the Creep Army becomes stronger and the player has to upgrade his defenses by spending in-game currencies. The two most important currencies in the game are Coins which is equivalent to money and gems. The usage of these two currencies is discussed in the next heading.

The game has 50 levels and each level has 3 challenge modes namely Campaign, Veteran and Specs Ops. Each level has a set path (or paths) for creeps to wind through. Certain towers are required to beat certain kinds of enemies, and each tower can be upgraded with energy currency earned in battle to make it more lethal.

Alien Creeps Mod APK – Why is it required?

Alien Creeps TD is a free-to-play game. Such games are typically designed to lure the player in with a few simple levels, then create all sorts of artificial barriers that can only be overcome via a ridiculous amount grinding or — and this is what the developer greedily hopes — spending lots of money on in-app-purchases. I’m talking about virtual hooey that speeds up play, acts as a boost of some sort, makes it easier to defeat enemies, or otherwise improves your odds of success.

It baits players with a familiar veneer of traditional tower defence play.

Day 7: Payment wall
I’ve hit a wall with Alien Creeps TD, and I don’t feel like I can progress much further without dipping into my wallet and forking out some cash, or spending a serious amount of time grinding for currency.

I just can’t make progress on the level I’m stuck on without upgrading the towers I have, and the amount of currency I earn with each battle I repeat just isn’t enough. And playing them over and over and over becomes really boring.

However, if you think that the idea of an alien-themed tower defence game might tempt you to bypass such a warning, you’d best keep reading, lest you choose to play and find yourself deeply frustrated – or, worse, out a bunch of money

Then the fifth level arrived.

The fifth level looks much like the rest, but it’s really a metre-thick titanium wall spreading to infinity in all directions. It’s utterly impassible when you first encounter it — and for some time after.

No matter which towers I chose, where I placed them, how I upgraded them, or how many limited-use reinforcements — airstrikes and paratroopers with lengthy cool-down periods between uses – that I called in, I didn’t stand a chance. I couldn’t keep up with the flood of creeps. They merrily stormed past all my defences and destroyed my base time and again.

I’d reached the point where things to start to seriously suck in free-to-play games.

The suck, in this case, comes in how you upgrade your defences. You earn coins while playing that can be spent on permanent upgrades designed to increase a specific type of tower’s damage, rate of fire, or type of ammunition. But coins come slowly. In some missions you’ll earn fewer than 50, even if you succeed. And the most powerful upgrades can cost upwards of 6,000 coins.

This is where players face a choice: Grind through old levels for hours and hours to earn coins, or pull out a credit card. You can buy 13,000 coins for five bucks, which will let you purchase several minor upgrades. Or you can buy as many as a quarter of a million coins for $60, which will get you pretty much every upgrade there is.

Another form of upgrade – more powerful heroes, one of which can be placed anywhere on the battlefield each level – can’t be earned through play. You need to purchase them outright for between $3 and $9 each.

Features

In order to gain some extra gold, gems, or reinforcements, you can also access the special Challenge section of the game, which sees players try to defend different levels with just one life against foes for an unknown number of waves. At the end of each stage, you can cash out on your rewards or continue playing for even bigger prizes. If you fail, however, you lose everything.

Unlimited Energy

despite having accumulated hundreds or even thousands of units of the energy currency used to upgrade towers in battle. There was no place left to spend it. All I could do is watch my defeat.

All Heroes Unlocked

To buy another hero you must use money, no option to use gem. They only give you one hero against the horde. Definitely not a balanced game.

Great game but to unlock more heroes you have to pay in between $10-$16 real money, cant unlock them through in game gems or gold has to be real money whi h is a bit unfair because getting to the harder stages requires you definitely need more then 1 hero,

Unlimited Gems

Any research upgrade requires a certain amount of time, and if you’re not willing to wait, you can spend gems to instantly complete it. The times, at first, aren’t that lengthy, but things get much more serious as you progress, effectively stopping you from playing, or at least from succeeding without that upgrade.

Gems can also be spent in serious situations where you run out of the allocated reinforcements or air strikes, to add a few more and help win the level.

Conclusion

BATTLE ALIEN HORDES, LEAD YOUR TROOPS TO VICTORY!
The aliens are here… and they didn’t come in peace. Alien Creeps is a tower defense game with a sci-fi twist. Fight in frenzied, epic battles against hordes of devious enemies! Immerse yourself in a pulse-pounding storyline where everything is at stake! Defend Earth and save the day!

Alien Creeps TD is a good game then, but you need to spend a little money or a lot of time if you want to get the most out of it. If you’re jonesing for another tower defence game, and have some cash burning a hole in your pocket, this might well be for you.

It is an outrageously imbalanced and profoundly dissatisfying system.

Alien Creeps TD feels less like a war on creepy extra-terrestrials and more a battle against the devious human minds that designed the game hoping that exhausted players would simply give up the fight and spend their way to victory. I’m certain virtually every line of code was written with this express intent.

Alien Creeps TD is a pretty fun yet quite difficult tower defense experience. While it doesn’t break the mold in terms of features, it still manages to execute a good balance between strategy and fun. The in-app purchases, while not that obnoxious early on, become pretty necessary so bear that in mind while trying out the free-to-play game.

similar to a lot of other tower defense games.
